There's no single player who has impacted the game of online poker more than Viktor Blom, who goes by the screen name Isildur1. Blom came from nowhere to play on a level with some of the biggest names in the game, and he has been in on some of the biggest-ever online pots. In spite of all the attention he's gotten from poker forums and from magazine and online columnists, Isildur1's identity was kept a mystery for a long time. No one knew if he was a veteran testing the waters online, or if he was a young upstart. In the beginning of 2011, Isildur1 revealed himself to be Viktor Blom, a poker pro from Sweden. Since his reveal, Blom has taken on some of poker's biggest stars across different stakes. His current games have all the peaks and valleys that made him famous.
Viktor Blom has yet to make a big impact in tournament play; his biggest cash finish has been a sixteenth place at the WSOP Europe main event in 2010. However, Blom will be in attendance at most of 2011's big events, on the hunt for his first title. He will keep his focus on high-stakes cash games, and he will also compete online as a part of Team PokerStars Pro.
